Airbnb IPO Internal Program + Celebration

The nature of this work is confidential, so unfortunately I can’t show any project visuals, but here’s a prescription of what I contributed to the campaign.

In December of 2020 Airbnb became a publicly traded company. In the lead up to the big day of the S-1 flip, a small team of 3 designers, 1 writer, 1 filmmaker, and a group of lawyers strategized and executed a program to educate all full time employees about what it means to be a public company. I was tasked to Art Direct the project with 3 different work streams.

  1. Storyboard and help the team to establish the stage-by-stage experience that guides employees through investor trainings, build excitement for the big day, events during the IPO, recap moments, etc.

  2. Collaborate with the Marketing team to establish an internal visual system for all IPO-related works such as the website, programs, internal communication materials, and live events production.

  3. Brainstorm, develop, and launch a very special gift in one month—Our Airbnb Story book. This 175 pages, 5 pound book captures memories from each employee and shows belonging in its truest form. Target audience included all 6000+ employees and alumni.
