S.F.F.D. 150th Anniversary

The San Francisco Fire Department is filled with memories in every corner, from the handcrafted wooden ladders, made special for the SFFD, to the repainting of the Silver Twins fire hydrants, commemorating SFFD’s contributions in the aftermath of the 1906 earthquake. These stories give life to these objects, and they help show that the people of the fire department are not only heroes and lifesavers, but humans as well. By introducing the concept of “150 Years to Remember, 150 Years to Celebrate,” we wanted to help the S.F.F.D. pass those stories down to future generations and to the community.
